As much as the Cebuanos are busy
preparing for the upcoming Sinulog festivity this month, another important celebration
is being looked forward too in here. We
are moving towards the traditional Chinese holiday. January 31 opens the first day of the year of
the Chinese calendar.
In line with this, the beautiful hampers
are back and so much more! They are most
visible at the grocery stores and another hurrah of SALE is everywhere. I always appreciate how much effort they put
in preparing their hampers. They are not
just plainly wrapped in transparent cellophane but look at this picture.
See!?
A hamper could
contain:
- chocolates and goodies
- tea, coffee and tea set
- Abalone gift set
- cookies gift set and etc
The malls/establishments
are embellished for the upcoming CNY and so far, I so love the deco at KLCC
Suria. Saaaakkkuraaaa! hehehe. Here!
A giant golden horse surrounded with red lanterns
and Cherry Blossoms! Sigh! Sakura! I
wonder what's at Pavilion? Hmmm, have
not visited the place yet but there is one post I saw and waaaaahhh! Another heaven of Sakura! The Hello Kitties are for sale and I'm sure all the HKians will drool on the red envelopes, decorations and stuff that Sanrio has released for CNY. I was so captivated with the Twin Stars' CNY envelopes. Should I buy or not? Buy or not? hehehe.
Like any upcoming festivity such as this, there are
a lot of food promotions, free vouchers(but with a minimum purchase), lucky
draws and entertainments. So for now, we
content our eyes with the liveliness at the malls, the busy shoppers with their
paper bags, the red ang pow envelopes, the red and pink decorations and the
beautiful hampers.
It's another weekend to relax and I can't wait to
try a recipe for our breakfast! To our
dear Monique and MK, Happy Birthday and May your hearts be filled with goodness
and gladness always!
